This document details the setup process for establishing a connection between FojiSoft and Open Automation Software (OAS). OAS acts as a universal data connector, providing access to industrial operations and enterprise data for connectivity, monitoring, and analysis. Through this integration, FojiSoft can leverage OAS's robust functionality to connect to various data sources, including PLCs, OPC servers, databases, and even custom applications. This enables seamless data exchange between FojiSoft and your industrial environment, empowering you to gain deeper insights and optimize your operations.
Agent Pool Configuration
Before creating an OAS connection, you must configure an agent pool to be allowed to communicate with your OAS server.
- Log into your Foji account
- Access Agent Pools under Integrations in the navigation menu of the Settings application
- Edit the agent pool
- Add your OAS server name and port to the list of allowed hosts. Note: the default port for OAS is 58727.
- Save the agent pool
Adding a Connection
- Log into your Foji account
- Access Connections under Integrations in the navigation menu of the Settings application
- Click the New Connection button
- Click the Open Automation Software Server provider in the list. You may search for it in the search box or find it under Data
- Configure the Connection Fields
- Click the Create button
Configuring Connection Fields
Name
Enter a unique name for your connection. This name will help you identify and manage your connections within FojiSoft.
Folders
Optionally, select or create folders to better organize your connections. See Connection Folders for more information.
Host
Enter the host name of your OAS server
Port
Enter the port number on which the OAS engine service is running. The default port for the OAS engine is 58727.
Username
Enter the username for an OAS configuration user which at least the following permissions:
- Tags
- Get Tag Group Names
- Get Tag Names
Password
Enter the password for the OAS configuration user
