This document details the setup process for configuring an Open Automation Software (OAS) connection as a metric data source between FojiSoft and Open Automation Software (OAS).

See Open Automation Software for more information about the OAS connection and its configuration.

Step 1: Accessing Data Source Configuration

  1. Log in to your Foji account and navigate to the data sources section.
  2. Click on the "Add Data Source" button or select the option to create a new data source.

Step 2: Naming the Data Source

  1. In the "Name" field, enter a unique name for your Open Automation Software Metrics data source. Choose a descriptive name that helps you identify the purpose or characteristics of this data source.

Step 3: Configuring Open Automation Software Metrics Connection

  1. Connection: Select the connection to your Open Automation Software server
  2. Time Zone: Select the Time Zone in which your Open Automation Software server is configured
    • NOTE: This should be the Time Zone configured in the Operating System of the actual Open Automation Server and is not dependent on the actual time zone of any upstream sources.

Step 4: Select Tag Groups

  1. Select the tag groups from which all boolean or numeric data tags will be pulled

Step 5: Saving and Using the Data Source

  1. After providing the necessary configuration details, click on the "Save" or "Create" button to save the Open Automation Software Metrics data source configuration.
  2. You can now use this data source in your Foji workflows to access and process the OAS metric data. Utilize Foji's data transformation capabilities to analyze and visualize the metrics or integrate them into your data pipelines.
  3. Contact the Foji support team for more information on utilizing the Open Automation Software Metrics data source.
