Foji is a versatile data integration platform that allows you to connect and process data from various sources. This documentation will guide you through the process of configuring a connector for Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Foji. The AWS connector enables seamless integration with AWS services and resources. To configure the connector, you will need to provide the following fields: Name, Access Key ID, Secret Access Key, and IAM Role ARN.

Step 1: Accessing Connector Configuration

  1. Log in to your Foji account and navigate to the connectors section.
  2. Click on the "Add Connector" button or select the option to create a new connector.

Step 2: Naming the Connector

  1. In the "Name" field, enter a unique name for your AWS connector. Choose a descriptive name that helps you identify the purpose of this connection.

Step 3: Configuring AWS Connection

  1. In the "Access Key ID" field, enter the Access Key ID associated with your AWS account. This ID is generated when you create an Access Key for your AWS account in the AWS Management Console.
  2. In the "Secret Access Key" field, enter the Secret Access Key corresponding to the Access Key ID provided above. The Secret Access Key is a confidential credential that allows access to your AWS resources.
  3. If you prefer using an IAM Role instead of Access Key ID and Secret Access Key, enter the IAM Role ARN in the "IAM Role ARN" field. The IAM Role ARN is the Amazon Resource Name (ARN) assigned to the IAM Role with the necessary permissions to access your AWS resources.

Note: You can choose either the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key method or the IAM Role ARN method, depending on your preference and security requirements.

Step 4: Testing the Connection

  1. Once you have provided the necessary configuration details, click on the "Save" button to verify the connectivity between Foji and AWS.
  2. Foji will attempt to establish a connection using the provided information. If the connection is successful, you will receive a confirmation message. Otherwise, please review the entered information and ensure that they are accurate.

Step 5: Saving and Using the Connector

  1. You can now use this connector in your Foji workflows to interact with AWS services and resources, such as reading data from S3 buckets, executing AWS Lambda functions, or performing other AWS operations.
  2. Refer to the Foji documentation or contact the Foji support team for more information on utilizing the AWS connector within your workflows.

Conclusion

By following the steps outlined in this documentation, you can configure an AWS connector in Foji. This enables you to seamlessly integrate with AWS and perform various data integration tasks using the Foji platform.
