FojiSoft Data Source Integration for AWS Resource Tags

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to set up AWS Resource Tags as a data source within the FojiSoft platform.


1. Setting Up the Data Source

  1. Navigate to the Data Source Configuration:
    • In the FojiSoft interface, locate the section for configuring data sources.
  2. Provide a Descriptive Name:
    • Enter a name for the data source in the Name field, e.g., "Production".
  3. Set the Maintenance Schedule:
    • (Optional) Define a maintenance schedule if applicable.
  4. Enable the Data Source:
    • Toggle the switch to Enabled to activate this configuration.

2. Configuring AWS Folder and Connection

  1. Assign the AWS Folder:
    • Under the Folders section, select or create a folder. For AWS Resource Tags, label it as AWS.
  2. Choose the Connection:
    • Select the corresponding connection from the Connection dropdown, ensuring the correct AWS environment is chosen (e.g., "Production").
  3. Set the AWS Region:
    • Choose the desired AWS region from the Region dropdown. Example: "US East (N. Virginia)".

3. Define Data Import Parameters

  1. Set the Import Interval:
    • Define the frequency for importing data. For example, enter 6 and select the time unit (HOURS) to import data every six hours.

4. Finalize and Save Configuration

  • Review the details of the configuration.
  • Ensure that all fields are accurately completed.
  • Save the configuration to initiate the data ingestion process.
